Ground Beef Tacos with Salsa

Ingredients

• 1.5 lbs fresh 80/20 ground beef
• 1 cup Casa Mamita flavored salsa
• 8 corn tortillas
• 1 medium yellow onion, diced
• 2 cloves garlic, minced
• 1 tbsp chili powder
• 1 tsp cumin
• Salt and pepper to taste

Steps

1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook, breaking it apart with a spoon, until browned (about 5 minutes). Drain excess fat.
2. Add diced onion and garlic to the beef. Stir and cook for 2 minutes until fragrant.
3. Add chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Stir well.
4. Pour in salsa and stir to combine. Simmer for 3 minutes.
5. Warm tortillas in a dry skillet or over a gas flame for 30 seconds per side.
6. Spoon beef mixture into tortillas and serve with additional toppings as desired.
