ALDI Seared Petite Sirloin with Roasted Apples and Root Vegetables

Ingredients
- 4 fresh Angus petite sirloin steaks, 6 oz each
- 2 Michigan Honeycrisp apples, cored and halved
- 1 lb baby potatoes or root vegetables, halved
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup water or beef broth
Steps
- Preheat oven to 425°F. Toss potatoes with 1 tbsp olive oil, salt, pepper, and thyme. Spread on a sheet pan and roast 20 minutes.
- Meanwhile, pat steaks dry and season generously with salt and pepper.
- Heat 2 tbsp olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Sear steaks 3–4 minutes per side until golden. Remove and set aside.
- Add apple halves to the skillet, cut-side down, and sear 2 minutes per side until lightly caramelized.
- Return steaks to the skillet alongside apples. Transfer to oven and roast 8–10 minutes until steaks reach 130°F for medium-rare.
- Remove from oven, add roasted potatoes to the skillet, drizzle with broth, and serve hot.
