Slow-Cooker Pulled Pork

Slow-Cooker Pulled Pork
Built from Pork shoulder butt, Onion, on sale at Kroger this week.

Ingredients

Steps

  1. Pat the pork dry. Mix the salt, brown sugar, smoked paprika, pepper, and garlic powder, and rub it all over the pork.
  2. Lay the sliced onion in the bottom of the slow cooker and set the pork on top.
  3. Pour the broth around the sides, not over the top, so the rub stays on the meat.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours, until the pork pulls apart with a fork.
  5. Lift the pork out, discard the bone, and shred the meat with two forks.
  6. Spoon some cooking liquid back over the shredded pork to keep it moist.
  7. Serve on buns, in tortillas for tacos, or over rice for bowls.
