Slow-Cooker Pork Butt Tacos with Caramelized Onions

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs Pork Butt Steak Bone-In
  • 2 medium yellow onions, sliced
  • 1 tbsp cumin
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup beef or chicken broth
  • Corn tortillas (from pantry)

Steps

  1. Season pork butt steak with cumin, chili powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper on all sides.
  2. Place sliced onions in the bottom of a slow cooker, then lay pork on top.
  3. Pour broth over pork and onions.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours (or high for 4 hours) until pork shreds easily with a fork.
  5. Shred pork using two forks, discarding bone. Stir shredded pork back into cooking liquid with caramelized onions.
  6. Warm tortillas and serve pork mixture in tortillas with onions and pan drippings.
